CLIENT ~ Kwanlin Dün First Nation

 

Back in 2013, people in Yukon were just starting to talk about Lateral Violence. People within the Kwanlin Dün First Nation (KDFN) were at the forefront of that awakening. Key leaders in that community approached Marilyn to develop a workshop on Lateral Violence and roll it out in the community. Marilyn and Thomas then developed an entirely new workshop focused on Indigenous communities, and held the first one with the KDFN Chief and Council. 

 

Since then the workshop has been offered several times each year to KDFN Staff, Elders and Citizens. From this beginning, the workshop has grown and spread throughout Yukon and BC.
